Project Title: Therapeutic Blockade of Metabolic Dependencies in Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma by researcher Dr. Biplab DasGupta We have two aims in this project. In aim 1, we proposed to determine the mechanisms of cytotoxicity of a small molecule on DIPG cells. Experiments are ongoing to narrow down the mechanisms in DIPG cells. There has been a bit of a glitch with the reproducibility of some of the in vitro results and we are identifying the causes. We are using various analyzers to ensure integrity of the small molecule. Comprehensive PK/PD work of the small molecule (Aim 2) will start in the next few months.
We received the following research update last week from Dr. O’Donohue and her team from Memorial Sloan Kettering.
