Grants & Programs

Help Us Beat Childhood Cancer!

The Race for Pediatric Cancer Research

Our goal is to fund researchers who are committed to finding cures for childhood cancer and bring awareness to the lack of resources dedicated to childhood cancer research. We wish to encourage individual donors, foundations, and corporations to donate to TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation!

Grant Submission Guidelines

The grant cycle is open for formal applications annually from late spring to late summer. Each December, pediatric cancer research grants are funded directly to the institutions within the United States voted on by the Board of Directors per the proposals received.

Be A Hero For A Child In Need

TeamConnor has proudly partnered with Children’s Health in Dallas and Cook Children’s in Fort Worth to create the Kidz Binz Activity Box Program!

Each Kidz Binz Activity Box is filled with activities like books, toys, art, music supplies, and interactive games to help pass the time during treatment. We aim to help the pediatric patients in the Stem Cell Unit following their transplant and/or in-patient for chemotherapy, radiation, and MIBG therapy within the oncology department.

As children with cancer going through stem cell transplants might stay in isolation for up to 90 days to build up their immune systems, giving them plenty of toys and games to look forward to during their time of isolation is an incredible way to lift their spirits. Spread the joy by browsing our Amazon Kidz Binz Wish List and donate to those who need laughter the most!

KidzBinz Activity Box Program

It’s not uncommon for an in-patient’s interaction with family and the outside world to be significantly limited. Now, as a result of COVID-19, only one parent or guardian may be with the child during their treatment.

The KidzBinz Activity Box Program is a must-have for the oncology child life staff. Here’s what to expect when you make a donation:

  • The KidzBinz Activity Boxes feature paints, canvases, jewelry-making materials, books, scrapbooks, and age-appropriate musical instruments and/or games.
  • The child life staff makes sure we know about the age and gender of the patient so that each KidzBinz Activity Box is uniquely tailored for the child.
  • The average cost of each KidzBinz activity bin is around $250.
  • With a donation of $3,000, your organization would be able to fund 12 KidzBinz boxes for children who are undergoing in-patient cancer treatment.

Your generous donation will provide very sick children in our community with an outlet to express their feelings and creativity during one of the most difficult times in their young lives

A World Of Difference

Chantel Keith, a stem cell unit patient, was one of the first children with cancer to receive the creativity boxes. According to Joyce Keith, Chantel’s mother,

The KidzBinz activity box provided by the TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation was a lifesaver. It was tailored specifically for my daughter and was full of things she liked, such as Hello Kitty items, scrapbooking, painting materials, as well as a musical instrument.
